A Lifetime of Cats: From Veterinary to In-Home Care

I have 25 years of professional experience working with cats in nearly every conceivable environment. I started work as a veterinary assistant in 2001 for 5 years before becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Washington State for an additional 10+ years. During that time, I worked for 7 years in feline-only medicine, in both the private practice and non-profit sectors. Prior to moving to San Diego, I also owned and operated two separate feline-only, in-home businesses for 6 years, providing in-home medical care services as well as full-service grooming including nail trims, mat removal, lion shaves, etc. I have also worked and volunteered in numerous shelters and am an avid TNR trapper and community cat advocate.

Cats have always been a huge part of my personal life and the focus of most of my professional life - I am absolutely, pawsitively dedicated to cats and their care. Cats love me because I understand and respect the unique needs of each individual cat and am dedicated to improving their lives by providing personalized care that enhances their well-being. I love and respect cats no matter what their background and no matter how they behave on any given day. With my passion and understanding for cats as well as my vet med background where I focused on felines (specifically, feline behavior, nutrition, and geriatric care), I am confident I can continue to improve the lives of the cats I meet.

Committed to Providing the Highest Level of Care

Just as I am devoted to offering the best possible care for my clients, I bring that same commitment to my own cats, each with their unique needs and stories.

I currently have three cats: a geriatric girl, who is 16 and needs lots of meds and extra care, named Sister, and two 2-year-old siblings, Junie and Norman. Sister became our furkid when her Dad, a client of mine, passed away with no plan for her. In similar circumstances, I have found many other cats new homes, but it turned out Sister had both severe IBD and Stage 3 Kidney disease as well as behavioral issues so she's ours furever. I trapped Junie and Norman when they were ~1 year old from a mobile home park in Palm Springs that is home to 200 community cats. They were too shy to go to the shelter for adoption and too friendly to go back out to a chaotic situation. True "in-betweeners", I continue to work with them to build their confidence, but love them dearly just as they are.

I am committed to providing the highest level of care possible. I am highly attentive to detail, ensuring that all tasks are executed to the highest standards. In addition to being well-organized, I prioritize individualized care, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each cat. I consistently work hard to achieve meaningful, positive outcomes for each kitty while ensuring that quality and care are never compromised. I look forward to meeting you and providing quality care for your purrbabies!
